One Body is a boutique health and fitness center nestled among orchards offering CrossFit, FIT (functional fitness without the heavy weights), Yoga, Pilates, AquaFIT (late Spring and Summer) and Tumbling classes, as well as Personal Training, Nutrition Coaching and workshops. Whether it’s eating better, getting stronger, changing your body composition, losing weight or training for a specific event, we have you covered!

I started working with Melissa in July 2021. I never considered myself a "fitness" person, but I knew that I was out of shape and unhealthy, and while I've tried many diets, nothing has worked longer than a couple of weeks. In the course of 12 weeks with Melissa, I lost almost 10 pounds and three inches off my waist. But more importantly, I was able to get to the root of my weight issues and incorporate health and fitness into my everyday life -- without having to give up whole food groups or starve. I now exercise regularly, eat better, feel better, and am empowered to make better choices. Melissa gave me the insight (and the accountability) I needed to stick with the program, make good choices, bounce back from setbacks, and become a healthier, more energetic version of myself. I recommend working with her and her gym for anyone struggling with how to feel better, eat better, and make a lasting, sustainable change.

These past few years working with Melissa has taught me a lot about myself and my health, fitness and nutrition goals. From the very first day we worked together on nutrition coaching, Melissa helped me realize that in order for this program to work, I needed to concentrate on meal prep and balanced nutrition. Even though I have an amazing schedule of teaching elementary school, night classes at the college, and running my beautiful children around to their sports and social events, I felt like it was past time to take control of my life. My main goal was to keep up with my daily activities without feeling run down every day and Melissa helped me accomplish that.

We are what we repeatedly do. Having completed Melissa's 6 week nutrition program, I have a few observations. It did exactly what I was looking for. I needed accountability. In making a weekly meal plan, writing it down, one is more apt to own it and stick to it. It also simplified meal prep, as you knew what you were having for the entire week. I was able to accomplish one goal of a 5+ pound drop in weight. My A1C is normal now as is my lipid panel. One of the tips I will always use now is to prepare all the salad ingredients in the salad spinner and then store it in the fridge. It is amazing how fresh it stays. This program did exactly what I needed, a reset for eating healthy!
